I wish you all the best, but cash positive in 4 months is a very rosy outlook. I would say to double that, and then double it again and have the money available to cover expenses during that time.

Easy goals aren’t motivational enough Mike! I strongly believe that we are opening this place differently from other coffee house owners. First of all this blog currently has 300 daily readers in the DC area! Then our social media presence is taken care of with over 3k active local followers on Instagram, 7k on Twitter and 1k on Facebook! Our Kickstarter campaign should be another way to get the word out and we can even outperform our goal of $47k! We are pouring our lives into this project with all the knowledge from the business books we read and advisors we have. Let us surprise you!

Good luck! I think setting high expectations and goals are great and I wish you the best in obtaining them. Every great idea and or successful endeavor started with a dream and the passion to follow through regardless of the bumps in the road.

Stay Positive, work hard and keep dreaming big!

Best wishes to you! I do agree with Mike – please don’t think you will be cash positive in 4 months. I owned a small business for several years and it is VERY hard. Please prepare in case you have a slower start than anticipated.
